Autumnal cairn

I don’t know what’s going on with the white stone that has been flirting with my cairn. I really don’t. Ten days ago, it was back close to my cairn (which I admit is looking a bit unloved in this photo).

Now it has disappeared again, as the following photo, taken a couple of days ago, shows. You’ll be pleased to see I have tidied up the cairn somewhat in the meantime. I have realised that more active cairn maintenance is required in the autumn to keep it free from leaves and looking neat and tidy.

P.S. If you’re just joining us, check out the urban cairn FAQs for inspiration.
